Uni of Sheffield Student Halls – 1st Year Accommodation

SHU Student Houses – 2nd Year+
When it’s time to get a bit more serious with your studies, and you’re no longer getting to know the city, you can upgrade to something with a little more responsibility and freedom – a student house.
The most popular houses for the University of Sheffield are in the Crookes area of Sheffield. However for those wanting to be a bit closer to town, and who like to avoid walking up massively steep hills wherever possible, then choosing houses in the Ecclesall Road area could be a fantastic compromise.

You should check the specific contract you agreed with the accommodation you are renting, but in most circumstances short stays from friends and relatives are perfectly fine.
Are bills included in my accommodation?
In halls of residence, all bills are usually included in 1 weekly price, whereas in your student houses you usually have to agree and sign up for your own gas, electricity and internet.
Can I move out early?
While you can technically move out whenever you like, all accommodation will require you to pay for accommodation for the full duration of your contract.
