The classic red and white colours of Sheffield United football club has been embedded in their history, starting with the red stripes in the 1890 – 1891 season. The final colour combinations were added in 1892 and have stayed consistent every since.
The football kit sponsors have ranged over time, from Bentley in 1981, to Laver in 1994. With such a large stadium and a passionate football fan base, it is a very popular sponsorship opportunity for many companies.
The crest of the club was added to the shirt for the first time in the 1891 season. Jimmy Hagan designed the new crest for the club in 1977.
