Bramall Lane is the football stadium of the Sheffield United Football Team, which has a 32,702 seating capacity. It first opened on the 30th April 1855. During the 1800’s many of the local and further afield teams used it for important games, as it was the largest stadium in the area. The name originates from the file and graver manufacturers, the Bramall family. It was originally opened for cricket, but was changed over to football permanently from 1889.
